About Me

Hi 👋, my name is Jill Moskowitz. I have been a serial entrepreneur for as far back as I can remember. I started using eBay in middle school to buy clothes and resell them for a profit. I earned money in high school by helping other people sell their items on Ebay.
My passion for buying and selling goods continued after I moved to NYC for college. I continued to spend a lot of time buying and selling clothes. During my college days, I was on a fitness kick and wanted to purchase my first pair of Lululemon leggings. The first place I looked for deals was on eBay. I found only a limited selection of new and gently used workout clothes. At that point, I realized there was an opportunity to create a business.
I made flyers offering to purchase used designer workout clothes for cash. The first contact I made invited me to her apartment to buy clothes. When I arrived, I was greeted by hundreds of pairs of leggings and tops from Lululemon all in pristine condition.
When I moved to San Francisco in 2018, I took a break from my business to focus on other pursuits, but I restarted my business in November 2022. This time, I planned to sell on Poshmark rather than Ebay.
I thought the best way to proceed was by repeating how I succeeded the first time. I put up flyers and had business cards made that I handed out to people in San Francisco who were dressed in designer athleisure wear. Most of them took my card but I received only five email responses. I wasn’t going to let this disappointing result stop me from restarting my business, so I decided to contact all of the sellers I purchased used workout clothes from in NYC and offer to pay for them to ship their clothes to me. I found some success purchasing this way but not enough to run a business.
I decided to take my search to Instagram and contact every fitness influencer I could find. I found more clothes to purchase, but most sellers rarely sold more than once. At this point, I decided to contact fitness studios with retail shops to buy their excess inventory. I found this to be a much better way to purchase because everything was new with tags. I loved how easy the transactions were and the consistency that came with working with businesses. I then started contacting designer brands and boutiques to obtain more clothes. They offered to sell me additional categories of clothes at steep discounts. I was finally able to purchase the inventory I needed to open my online store.
